About the Event
 This series will focus on explaining and practicing the basic principles of yoga, providing students with a strong foundation for establishing or reestablishing their yoga practice. It is perfect for students that are: brand new to yoga | beginners of all-levels | students that would benefit from refreshing their practice | or students who simply want to be more comfortable in a public class. In a safe and supportive environment, Melissa, Dawn, & Farrah will each lead 2 out of the 6 sessions in their own unique styles. Each session will be focused mainly on either Asana (yoga postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises), or Meditation.
Beginner Yoga: A 6-week Series will include:
- Breaking down elements of key poses of different yoga styles (flow, restore, nidra, etc.)
- Learning safe transitions between poses
- How to use props to support your body
- Pranayama (breathing) techniques
- Meditation and mindfulness tools
- How to work with your own unique body
You will leave this series with a deeper felt connection to yoga, a deeper relationship to your personal practice, and a deeper understanding of your mindbody awareness. Sundays, Feb 9th - March 15th from 11:45a-1p$108 for all 6 (75-min) sessions$20 drop-in at South Studio. Click here to register
